Information on Effective Institutional Practice in Student Learning Outcomes Provided on the CHEA Website

(Washington, DC) – The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) has posted information on the CHEA Website on how higher education institutions are attending to and implementing effective practice in student learning outcomes.
Effective Institutional Practice in Student Learning Outcomes: CHEA Award Recipients highlights successful efforts by colleges and universities to gather information on student learning outcomes, use this information for quality assurance and institutional improvement and provide information to the public.
This new section of the CHEA Website (www.chea.org) provides information on recipients of the CHEA Award, presented yearly to up to four institutions or programs for their outstanding practice in the use of student learning outcomes. Included in the information found on the CHEA Website is a description of each institution’s or program’s practices in student learning outcomes that led to its receipt of the award.
CHEA President Judith Eaton noted “It is our hope that these examples of effective practices will be helpful to colleagues seeking to make gains in this important area.”
