Learning management systems abound in 21st Century higher education. Some are proprietary--but some, like Moodle, are open source. Moodlerooms represents a interesting model for higher education institutions to consider. Lou Pugliese and I spoke at EDUCAUSE 2011 and our conversation left me with the sense that his company functions more like a partner than an overbearing LMS heavy weight. Moodlerooms is definitely an organization worth getting to know.
